![]() At 16 she gave birth to her only son Herman Andrew Stevens, better known as Andrew Stevens. Stella married Herman, who was an electrician when she was just 15 years old. Stevens’ marriage to a noble Herman Stephens, whom she met as a teenager when her family moved to Tennessee, is the only marriage she has ever lived in. Thanks to her performance in Say One for Me (1959), her film debut, she got the Golden Globe Award for the new star of the year.
